When Kayley went to visit Alison to pick up Tabiri, she got to meet Alison's Taigans Moynok and Gaziza. She had been interested in Taigans for years and was already on Alison's interest list. Meeting Taigans in person is what cemented her interest in bringing one home.
The timing of the litter's birth conflicted with Kayley's plans for breeding her first litter, so she repeatedly hesitated to bring one of the Taigan puppies home. Happily, Alison talked her into it and Kayley embarked on a new journey.
Taigans are the national dog of Kyrgyzstan. They are used to hunt a wide variety of game, including wolves, and have been hunted side by side with Golden Eagles for hundreds, if not thousands of years. They are recognized in Russia and Germany, but not by any major kennel club and most fanciers prefer it stay that way.
At 2.5 years old, he went to hunt with a friend for a few months and that placement proved to be a home that could better meet his needs. He now resides with my friend, who is in love with him and utterly thrilled to have him.
